Random weekends to random dreams...

Schwa here! I was going to blog about my week of insane music but Sybil describe it better than me so I'm going to tell you about my week end and my super crazy weird dream!
My Saturday was pretty standard, I woke up and got ready for my acting at the little mermaid. We tried to run through a lot of musical number but I spent most of the time in Rob's room recording "Kiss the girl" and "Positoovity" I got down stairs and we ran the last two numbers over, Positoovity and under the sea. Genna then had a (I don't know words to describe it other than) "Almost complete and total meltdown". She told us that we knew this stuff, that we HAD to know this stuff by know and if you read my last blog "Teardrops Keep falling on my life" you would know that she told us she was leaving. I was even close to tears at the end of it. she chewed us up and spat us back out and I felt like every comment was directed only at me, then, as we were all leaving , Genna hugged me and said "thank you for all your hard work to pull this play together."
I was in cold shock for the rest of the day, then my dads friend Phil Vonfinkenstein (sorry if I spelt that wrong) comes over with his wife and five kids! we pretty much colored and watched Hotel for Dogs to keep them occupied for three hours (the oldest is twelve the youngest is two)

Sunday was hectic to say the least. At noon when I finally finished cleaning up the markers from the night before, I had to rush to merivale High school to play a tribute to Steve Maclean. It went on for hours, What went on? the ceremony, the talking the singing the awards, I wanted to get out of there ASAP, it was cramped, there wasn't enough stands and the trombone slide of the girl behind me was popping out above my right shoulder every seven seconds. AS soon as we finished playing, I rushed out and called my dad to take me to Rob's for a photo shoot. As it was, I got there four hours late and my costume was so weird, I can't describe it on paper!

That night, I had a really weird dream, I mean, I usually have pretty strange dreams, if I can remember them but this one was really strange, also very detailed. I wouldn't bother blogging about it but Sybil wasn't at school today so I want her to hear it... ( you don't have to read it and I forgot a few details but it's all in there some where. Be warned, it's kind of long)

I was somehow in ancient Sparta (that's in Greece by the way) standing in the middle of a busy street, for some reason, I was wearing black legging, skirt and top along with black eyeliner and I looked wicked possest (you get what I mean) people were rushing by in white greek tunics and togas, not paying me any attention but one boy about my height, (which I found surprising), walked up and introduced himself " Hi, I'm Kostas, I haven't seen you around here before."
"Oh, I'm not from here"
"Where are you from then?"
"Ottawa."
"Ottawa?" he puzzeled
"ya In Canada"
"canada, is that near Athens?"
"No, it's far from here"I said kind of whistfully,
"Oh no, we've got to Hide!" His voice sounded urgent and he pushe dme into an alley." What are those, on your legs?" He puzzeled, noticing the leggings for the first time.
Oh, these are leggings,"
"Legging?" again, I had to explain what leggings and skirts were. When I was finally done I asked him. "Pardon but what year is it?"
"why, it's the year of Athena!"
"The year of Athena?"
"yes! It's hard to explain but... Okay. I'm on my 14th year. How old are you?"
"13..,why?"
"THat Means you're on your 14th year too!" he explained "You were born in the year of Athena then"
"Wait, there are fourteen years but only twelve olympian gods, who are the other two years for?"
" one for hestia, she gave up her throne but we still pay her tribute, and one for the king and queen of the underworld, needless to say, It's not a happy year..."
"Hey, just because they rule the underworld, doesn't make them evil!" I snap at him
"Says the girl who looks like she came from the underworld herself."
"Hey that's an insult..... Remind me again, why we're standing in an alley." I ask.
"Oh right, we have to get you out of here, the testing is,(he starts counting on his fingers.) Tomorro and father, he leads the military, has spent the last en years killing anyone who wasn't born in Sparta! He'd track you down in no time!" he said snapping back into reality,
"Nice guy," I retort
"oh yes, he tends to kill people when he's in a bad mood, I can get in and out of the house in seven seconds without being seen.... Okay, three posible ways to save you, we could hide you under ground, but that would take countless days and be hard for you to find food, you could flee the town but you don't know the area and would probably get lost... I've got it! I'll flee with you. "
"Remind me again, why are you helping me." I asked, he of course ignored the question.
" Don't move! well, if you see a guard, hide but other than that don't move!" he cried running off. he was bach seconds later with two bags, he passed me one.
"This has food and a girls tunic. You'd better put it on, if people see you like that, they'll call in the military." he said, I put the tunic on over my clothes. Kostas gave me a dreamy look.
"What?" I demanded
"Nothing, I didn't catch your name..."
"It's Athena," (I sometimes have weird names in dreams)
"Athena! It's the year of Athena, You were born in the year of Athena! It's a sign!" He yelled to the sky. " That's it, we're going to Athens! come on, we need to sneak out of the south end of the city, defence is low."
"Wait, so we're going to WALK to Athens!"
"Until, I get a better idea, yes."
As we snuck out of the city I whispered, I wish I had my trumpet. I then had to explain what a trumpet was, then what brass was, then what metal was. When I was finally done, Kostas said some thing to me in greek, I later found out it meant "thank you smart one."
for thenext part of my dream, he started calling me names in greek, smart one, brave one, talented one and when I asked him to cut it out with the greek, spazy one!

So that's my insanely long dream you probably didn't care about.

Rain drops keep falling on my life...

Schwa here, for the first time in three years I want to be schwad, I want people to completely forget that I exist so that I can write this blog because if I don't tell you guys this, I'm gonna cry. Today, the second day of the busiest month of the year, I found out that my favorite person between the age of 20 and 32 is leaving next year.
Genna Giampaolo, My director, is leaving in June. I don't know when, I don't know why, but I do know that we are going to be her last full cast, her last full musical at Rob's. Genna was a friend almost even a peer. We all adore her. She taught us everything we know about auditioning, Broadway and musical theater. Two years ago, she almost moved to Toronto to pursue her career in acting. Genna found an agent, he's making her famous as we speak. In two years, it's possible my teacher could be on the big screen. Some days genna's happy, chipper encouraging you all to do your best but before the show, she goes fire breathing and strikes, she'll tell you to practise, to pull it together, that the show is only three weeks away and then just as you think she's directing her comments directly at you, she'll pull you over and hug you and thank you for trying so hard and for pulling your weigh and making the musical better
"I want to go out with a bang! You guys are my best cast yet, you guys are my perfect cast, I picked you for a reason! This is the biggest production the schools ever had!" Gen said today
It's like losing an aunt that you see every week who smile at you and lift your spirits and make you cookies. High school is going to change thing a lot for me, not only at school I mean Sybil's not around and neither is my sister, I'll be in a gifted class and in a bigger school but also at rob's to quote percy Jackson"Someone had messed with my favorite place in the world and I was not, well, a happy camper"
I mean, andrea's on maturnaty leave, genna's gone, no more musicals, I'll probably never see bianca, brit, Mal, shelby or cassey again and Theresa I might only see once a week.
Got to go now, I have companie coming

Fine I'll Talk!

schwa here, I
m finally updating so Sybil won't murder me but honestly, there isn't that much to say. Basically I'm gonna split this up into three major groups. Astroband, Tristan+Saturday and Hatching Pete

Astroband;
so firstly Mr. leohr, our spas of a band director Announces that he's picking the second best group of people in the band to be in an extra band. The band was chosen to play for the famous astronaut Steve McLean who , in ancient times, when to our school (gasp). I was thinking, there is no way Mr. Leohr is going to choose me but of course he did. Mr. Leohr is one of the few people immune to the schwa effect. That can be a good thing but usually, it's not. i was doing great at astro, I mean the songs were easy, I was catching on then I found out that the show is the same day as my photo shoot for the little mermaid.

Tristan+Saturday
My Saturdays are always a little hectic but this week was all out chaos! I had to gather all of my necessary costume pieces to acting and I was still missing my gloves and a body suit, I ran around for like an hour than had to get my mom to drive me to Malabar because I couldn't find a black body suit at home!
When we finally got to Rob's for acting, I was almost out of breath but I made my way downstairs and gave my bag of stuff to Genna, Our producer. I now remember why I was reluctant to become Scuttle for the little mermaid; my costume is Orange tights, white short, and a white sweater with a visor aka my beak, attached to the hood, I can see it now "feathered friend exposed in a beak lifting performance" In other words, I hope my beak doesn't fall off my head!
About three minutes into rehearsal, we are introduced to Tristan, He 's the dude who's singing all of prince Eric's songs because, Duncan, the dude playing Eric, can't sing... Through out the rehearsal we heard weird sound coming from the recording room. We later found out that not only is Tristan's voice about an octave lower than Duncan's, but he was an opera singer! If I was ever considering opera as a carer path, (I wasn't), I would tell myself no way! After hearing what opera can do to a song, I scared!

Hatching Pete,
Honestly, have you seen that movie, I mean It's typical for Disney channel so it had kind of a lame story line but I couldn't stop watching it! It was like a major déjà vu and déjà entendu, It was Insane! Pete is a total schwa, he can poof, he does gynastics(okay gymnastics, dance a bit of aa difference but you all get it) He really has a crazy hilarious funny side and even though he's a model student, he's not that popular and never gets the attention he diserves! OMG It's like me butin high school, and a dude... Omg, It's like that guy in Kelseys badminton class!

* Cough, cough,cough, hack

OK, I had a better title for this blog but the one I finally chose sums up my last three days the best. On Thursday, I woke up for school and couldn't talk, my throat was killing, it was sooooo sore. Of course, Thursdays are always interesting because I usually have music class during school, and then after school we have band. playing my trumpet went marvelously when I couldn't talk for the majority of the day. I mean, I could talk but it hurt and it was quiet and my voice kept cracking. Not good...
After band, I give Flirt, a ride to dance class. My brother Niko, Isn't to fond of that plan. 1) He's convinced Flirt is evil. 2) He's convinced Flirt is evil, what more can I say.
At dance, I tired myself out. I mean, I got home and tried to do my homework, but almost passed out on the stairs on my way to get a dictionary. Looks like I was wrong, I told Flirt, I would be at school the next day. Of course to do that, I would have to first get out of bed which I couldn't do for several hours. I had Like 6 water bottles around me and needed to take a drink every couple of minutes. I was coughing nonstop and could barely make a sound at all. It was Just a little bit .... in don't know ...... Terrible! I missed getting my report card, I had drama the next day and I couldn't talk! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Saturday wasn't actually that bad, My throat still hurt, but I could talk again and i wasn't coughing as much. I went to my acting class where we attempted our first timed full run through of The Little Mermaid. It went well, I was prompter and I got in there and did all of my scuttle scenes. They were very impressed with my songs especially Positoobity! I was pretty happy with myself and when I got home, My family sat down and Finally watched Akeela and the Bee, It's a pretty good movie...
Anyways, Then came Earth hour, I was tempted to sleep through it but my fam. got out apples to apples and well, I couldn't miss that! Apples to Apples, is a game of comparison so you pick an adj. Say.... Gaudy, and people put in the nouns card in their hand that is the most gaudy thing. Ex. Manhattan, my house. Etc. then you pick the one you like most and they win the round. It's super funny at times like when Zed put Barney for frightening! Yup, that's pretty much been the last three days.
Adios

Just not my day...

H1~ people, (If you didn't understand that, why on earth r u reading MY blog geese) before I tell you about my marvellous (cough, cough) day, let me put you through the highlights of yesterday.
1) We had band, amazing wonderful band! At 7:30 in the morning, at a school that is a half hour drive away! Oh ya! It was a whole lot of fun! especially with my sore throat!
2) I got home, and noticed, my mom had crashed or not crashed but skidded against a concrete pole. Fun right, especially since it was the third of three cars she's done this to.

Now on to my marvelous day! My day started with Sudoku. Our math teacher passed them out to entertain us for ten minutes while our art teacher got ready etc. If any of you have done a Sudoku before esp. with me, you know that you can NOT tear a girl away from her Sudoku as soon as she gets into it. That is exactly what my art teacher did, only to interrupt us with her stupid assignment; Draw the bottom of you shoe...... and then color it. I know that's definitely on my to do list in life. Then came math. I'm kind of a math geek so math is usually a strong point in my day and I like my math teacher so, math class is usually a happy place. Today however, there was a substitute and thank goodness because she unleashed the most evil form of math. (are you guys ready for this ) METRIC CONVERSIONS!!!!!!
In music, we also had a substitute teacher which was lame because she was like Ok, we're gonna start a 17, did you get that 17, do you kids know how to count bars, because if you don't, I'll waste both of our time to teach you. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Finally lunch and recess good happy thing right, Lunch was fine and recess was Ok to that is, until Kirnan (Sybil's new boy friend) dragged me into the mud and I fell down, promptly and thoroughly soaking and muddying up my butt.

This was only half my day. I also missed all of gym class to go fill out forms to confirm my giftedness which was terrible because I missed Gymnastics and then when I came back for the end, I wasn't stretched so I almost killed my wrists...

great news in the next class. French. our teacher was under the impression that routine was comforting. She was also under the impression that Dictee was routine and that we liked Dictee. Of course she was way off but that didn't stop her from bringing back dictee anyways!

English however turned my day around, we read poetry then answered some simple questions and then read at the library! No sarcasm here, I was happy!

Then I went home and did my homework and now I'm blogging. That's where my day shall end
until tomorro

march break is over sweet heart!

Ya so I haven't really told you all what happened over the march break so I'l do a quick summary...
-I went to the farm with my cousins.
-My parents made us walk downtown (2 hours and 37minutes of hell)
-we went swimming at Walter Baker center
-Something else happened but it must not have been important because I forgot about it...
Anyways that's pretty much it. I got back to school today and saw my friends Sybil, Erin and Kelsey! Yay!... Unfortunately, flirtatious wasn't in our class so I only got to see her for like 2 mins. outside. Sybil and I were talking about omg I missed you moments (omg how am I ever going to cope without her next year if after one week I'm like Glad to have you back, wish you were never gone etc. etc.) when we were very rudely interrupted by our teacher trying to take attendance. see our teach is a totally visual person so if you're not sitting at your desk, she totally has a spas at your head... Not fun....
ya so it was a pretty long day but at least we got some work done on our gerbil! (see we can choose our projects for wood shop and since Kelsey's gerbil just died, we're making a tribute to him in form of wood complete with basket and cushion)
Omg and one more thing about my day! We had to do these presentations about a person you admire or an inspirational person and this kid that I hate (code name Constipated french man or CFM) went first see this kid is really funny and also really stupid, we used to get along fine... then he ruined it by asking me out and then following me around like a lost puppy until I said yes. (Side note, I turned him down 11 and a half times) anyways he went first and totally winged it and made a total fool of himself but no one caught on beacause that's what all of his presentations look like, and he changed his accent like 6 times, first he was mexican then he was russian the he was french then irish then british then ... oh you get the point.
So ya that's all I really wanted to talk about and a quick shout out (because I'm bored and my brothers tutor has locked me in here alsoI've alwas wanted to do these)
-Sybil you're awesome! you're my inspirational person
-Flirt You are my total drama queen but we love that about you
-Kelsey you're ... I don't have an adjective for you yet but you are totally Persephone
-Everyone else awesome enough to read this blog well... you're something but I'm sure you all need a life otherwise you wouldn't be reading a total strangers blog... Duh!

Kim is here and I have clothes...

Okay, not really much has happened but I was on the computer so I figured I'd update. For those of you who know Kim, she was here yesterday. We entertained ourselves by writing stories about my brother being abducted ( he he long story) and hanging outside in the still freakishly warm weather. My mom also insisted that to prevent another wardrobe crisis, we needed to go shopping. (which for me is like saying, we need to go soak our heads in ice water for hours on end or we need to go eat the senior boys basket ball team's shoes.) The sad part is that after an hour and a half, I got a pair of shoes, a pair of jeans and a skirt! (and then today we had to go out and buy a shirt to go with the skirt but I'll get to that in a second)
Today started like well a Thursday morning. My dad was yelling at me to get out of bed and hurry to tidy my room (which was already clean) because the cleaning people were coming in an hour. Well as we get into the day, my mom decides, hey lets walk down to Dick's(don't laugh, it is a local restaurant near my house) for lunch! Brilliant mom then I can get my shoes dirty and get some exercise! Anyways, on our way out, my mom asks if we know what inspiration means. We all say yes and she asks us to describe it. My sister is all like "It means to be inspired" and I look over at my mom and give this short but elaborate definition of inspiration and I was all proud of myself and my mom's telling me how good of a definition it was when my brother buts in and yells "It has more than one definition" ya Niko and I just got all of them in one sentence so shut it. My mom has decided that we are going to find an bunch of cool or inspirational people and sayings even quotes or songs and post them on a wall in our basement so if you guys know of any, could you let me know cause I want to really contribute to this project.
when we finally get there, we find Care bear and Sybil's "twin" vinegar, drinking milkshakes. So of course we have to say Hi, we even eat lunch with them and then we go to leave and I see a box of chocolates on the counter, the type our school is selling with a sign saying, please buy chocolate and support the SWC band. I turns oput that the owners daughter is a seventh grader at my school creepy right! Okay so I just got home and now I'm typing this and that pretty much concludes my update but I might go see a movie tonight so maybe my life will get more interesting!
